First Friday Dance at Grand Haven’s D&W

January 5, 2018 @ 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Free

Dancers again will have a chance to dance the first Friday of the month at Grand Haven’s D&W Fresh Market, Friday, Jan. 5, 2018, from 7-10 p.m. The dance is an outreach of The Salvation Army in the Tri Cities area.

The dance will be held in the store’s café area with spillover dancing in the aisles. In addition to dancing, patrons are welcome to sit and enjoy the music and maybe buy a cup of coffee, a soft drink, and something to eat.

The band Silverado, is a long-time local favorite, whose members play music ranging from County standards to early Rock’n’Roll, along with polkas, waltzes, and line dances. Three musicians comprise Silverado: Woody Woodrum, steel guitar and lead guitar, Cheryl Cook, rhythm guitar and vocals, and Tom Bourne, bass guitar, drums, and vocals. Among them they have well more than a century of musical experience.

The Grand Haven D&W Fresh Market is at 1116 Robbins Road.

The Salvation Army has been active in Grand Haven since 1922 and works to help people with both the necessities of life and to enhance the quality of their lives. The Salvation Army facility is at 310 North DeSpelder. The phone number is 616.842.3380.
