October’s First-Friday Dance at D&W
October 4 @ 7:00 PM - 10:00 PMDonation
The next First-Friday Dance at Grand Haven’s D&W Fresh Market will run from 7-10 p.m. October 4, 2019. The dance is an outreach of The Salvation Army in the Tri Cities area.
The dance will be held in the store’s café area with spillover dancing in the aisles. In addition to dancing, patrons are welcome to sit and enjoy the music and maybe buy a cup of coffee, a soft drink, and something to eat. If the sun is bright, dancers and listeners might want to bring sunglasses; it’s bright in the café.
The band, Silverado, is a long-time local favorite, whose members play music ranging from County standards to early Rock’n’Roll, along with polkas, waltzes, and line dances. Three musicians comprise Silverado: Woody Woodrum, steel guitar and lead guitar, Cheryl Cook, rhythm guitar and vocals, and Tom Bourne, bass guitar, drums, and vocals. The evening’s hosts are Bill and Carol Chaddock.
Last month’s dance brought in $495.
The Grand Haven D&W Fresh Market is at 1116 Robbins Road.
